WhiteSpider, a global leader in Software-Defined infrastructure was founded by Phil Lees and Dave Chadwick in October 2012.

Their decision to build the company was driven by their desire to develop long term, trusted client relationships based on ethical business practices and trusted partnerships – and listening to what customers really need.

Phil Lees
Founder and Managing Director
Phil is the co-founder of WhiteSpider and a passionate technology expert. With over 30 years of experience in the IT solutions integration industry and a distinguished military background in communications, Phil is a key player in the success of WhiteSpider. 

As an active dual Cisco CCIE for almost 25 years, Phil has a true passion for technology and its evolution. His deep knowledge and technical expertise have been instrumental in the development of the company’s offerings and services. His ability to listen to clients and understand their needs, combined with his dedication to ethical business practices and trusted partnerships, has allowed WhiteSpider to build long-term, mutually beneficial relationships with its clients.

Phil’s passion for adventure extends beyond the world of technology. As a keen mountaineer, road cyclist, and CrossFit enthusiast, he embodies the spirit of determination, perseverance, and teamwork. It was this spirit that inspired the name of our company – WhiteSpider.
With Phil as a key member of our strong leadership team, WhiteSpider remains committed to providing innovative, reliable, and effective technology solutions that enable our clients to achieve their business objectives.


 
Dave Chadwick
Founder and Operations Director
WIth a history of technical expertise in Software-Defined Infrastructure, Dave and his team deliver on WhiteSpider’s core values; trust, strategic approach, deep technical expertise and tenacity that has propelled the company to earn respect from high-profile long-term clients as well as vendors such as Cisco and VMware.

As a co-founder of WhiteSpider and with approximately 30 years experience in the systems integration business, Dave continues to deliver highly innovative IT solutions to customers to meet challenging business outcomes. His passion to deliver on what the client actually needs to meet their objectives is reflected in the long term partnerships WhiteSpider has with its customers.

Dave is also fond of the great outdoors, enjoys many sports and has travelled extensively. He continues to do so when time allows. 
Jonny Malcolm
Commercial Director
An experienced director, Jonny has worked with early stage and mature businesses across a range of sectors, including manufacturing, hospitality and healthcare. Having worked in sales, marketing, project management and finance, Jonny  oversees many of the non-technical aspects of WhiteSpider, including Sales, Marketing and Finance.

With an MBA from Exeter University and having been finance director for a couple of startups in the past, Jonny’s primary responsibility is to manage the financial strength of the business and to optimise the long term profitability.

Outside of work, Jonny is a water sports enthusiast, particularly sailing and windsurfing. He has also always had a head for adventure, having travelled across many remote parts of the world.
WhiteSpider managed the transition smoothly, allowing us to significantly save time, money and resources. Now we can really focus on making IT lead digital change in our organisation
